Happy New Year from Oxbow!
Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday time. For those of you who haven’t been on the lake this season, we have lots of snow. It has compacted but still lots left! It came early in November and stayed! A couple of times the lake froze and thawed with the up and down temps. Now it is reported to be 16 to 18 inches thick in spots!! We still have some bubblers on the lake, so if you are on it, be very careful. Remember that where creeks flow into or out of Oxbow, this movement will keep the ice thin or may even have open water. Stay safe if you venture out. Over the holidays we had some energetic souls enjoying skating on the lake and creating their own rinks! I’m attaching the latest version (January 2019) of the Oxbow Lake Cottagers’ Association Contact booklet. Please check your info and if needed let me know any changes/updates. With so many having cell phones, you will find numbers for specific members of families. If you want to add yours, let me know. Take care, stay safe!
